Had a lovely morning. Woke at about 5:30, was out in the front yard with the Sparkle by 6:30 doing a little weeding and a little wandering. Had breakfast and didn't feel awful. Baby boy had a nice morning nap. We went to the farmers' market at our usual late hour and brought home armloads of glorious green vegetables.

My wife cleaned our second floor yesterday in anticipation of the arrival of a contractor to do estimates. So thrilling. Now I can put the baby down on the bedroom floor without the urge to push him around like a dust mop and strip his clothes off immediately after. Yesterday evening was such a bizarre blur because once again I miss-timed how long the various steps of the canning process would take. I cannot believe the humidity. My birkenstocks were too clammy to wear. The bread went moldy overnight. I don't think I'm sweating, because it isn't that hot, but the moisture in the air is condensing on my forehead, upper lip, and bare shoulders.

I've had 3 meals today with my lovely love. How nice to be back in synch again. She made me breakfast, we went out to lunch and we made supper together.

Romance is alive and well at the JenNiFurs' house.

Last night at bedtime my lovely love came in with some greeting cards and asked, "Do any of these flowers look like roses?" (Google images for Bloemstilleven, Jan Davidsz to get an idea.) I gave my opinion and went to sleep wondering.
